Thing 5

I found this chapter very interesting, and enjoyed the section about EQ and IQ. I loved it when the author discussed the future museum of education, and that the #2 pencil would represent the 20th century of education. Amen!! In our instructon, we as educators know that "one size doesn't fit all," yet we are held accountable as though one size will fit all. I have seen a lot of progress in my first and second grade Reading Recovery students; however, their test scores do not always reflect it. As our students are on a journey to learn, so to are we on this journey with them.

Thing 4

I am liking this, but at first it seems scary. The thought that so many people can be reading my thoughts is troublesome, but I think this is going to make me a better writer and thinker. Keep the blogs coming.

Thing 3

I chose the islands because I love tropical places. I also chose "the count down to christmas" because I thought that would be cute, but it didn't turn out. So stay tuned, I will be editing. This is a cool process. I have enjoyed doing the work.

Thing 2

I will bring new learning outside our walls and access the experts in any given field. I can use this technology to sustain their attention and help them to navigate into the everchanging world.
